New and unique: the Fleur de Sel of the Alps! Natural - pure - wholesome The brine extracted from our natural rock salt is the basis for this valuable natural product. This natural salt speciality can be seen as a counterpart to fleur de sel from France - without having to accept the pollution of the oceans. Our natural brine comes from deep inside the mountains - without any environmental influences. Natural salt flakes are an all-purpose salt that can be used in many different ways in the kitchen. As it is free from any chemical additives (including those to improve its pourability) and still contains a little residual moisture, it would not be in the right place in a salt shaker. It is best stored in a pot with a sufficiently large opening, from which you can then help yourself with your fingers or our wooden scoop. The exact degree of granulation depends on the boiling temperature of the pan, the outside temperature, the humidity and also to some extent on the daily form of the salt simmer. As is the case with a classic natural product - a real natural salt speciality produced with a great deal of effort. Due to its naturalness, the natural salt flakes are ideal for the preparation of organic products that are produced in accordance with Regulation (EC) 834/2007.

Our valuable natural salt comes from the Altaussee mine, the heart of the Salzkammergut. It is mined by hand without blasting and is the most mineral-rich of all natural salts. The reddish-brown colour comes from the exceptionally high iron content. For seasoning all dishes, with every pinch, a piece of health. Our Austrian natural salt - the Alpen Bergkern - is a rare and precious commodity that is traditionally mined in the Salzkammergut. The salt vein could no longer provide the previously excellent quality required for the preparation of table salt. In order to be able to offer a balanced natural product in the near future, three top international salts will be temporarily blended into a natural salt cuvée, just as winegrowers do with their best wines. Our natural salt products consist of one third each of Alpine mountain salt, Carpathian natural salt and Himalayan crystal salt. All these salts are HACCP certified (quality standard of the food industry) and their ingredients are regularly analysed by German institutes.
