1st stage energisation The mix of tourmaline, germanium, phlogopite and jade energises your water and brings it back to life. Tourmaline is the only mineral that permanently generates "electricity". It is a natural source that emits negative ions and far infrared (FIR) rays. The wavelength corresponds to that of H²O, which means that it is very well absorbed by the body. Tourmaline emits a current of 0.06 mA. This corresponds to the current strength with which our nervous system works. Tourmaline normalises the nervous system. Germanium enriches the water with oxygen. It is therefore helpful in the prevention of various diseases, as these functions supply the body's cells with additional oxygen. If cells are not supplied with sufficient oxygen, they cannot carry out their normal metabolic functions. Germanium is also thought to have an anti-cancer effect due to its stimulating effect on the immune system. Phlogopite is a gemstone, mainly from Greenland, which consists of minerals from the human body such as calcium, magnesium and chlorophyll. Phlogopite is said to help our brain maintain an optimal temperature level. Jade is a natural alkaline healing stone that is said to stimulate blood flow to the adrenal glands and kidney activity. White jade is said to strengthen the immune system and white blood cells in particular. 2nd stage filtering Zeolite is a microporous rock that has the ability to adsorb (i.e. it binds substances) - including free radicals, ammonia and dioxins. It also regulates the pH value and, as an ion exchanger, it attracts pollutants and releases the minerals it contains. 3rd stage structuring The last stage takes on the function of a stream as in nature. The water regains its natural flavour. It also releases colloidal traces of silicon. In this form, it is particularly bioavailable. With our Super Sterasyl, you can obtain pure drinking water from almost any fresh water source (e.g. a puddle) thanks to the triple combination effect of silver ions, ceramic and activated carbon. The 1st stage gives the Super Sterasyl strong bacteriostatic and self-sterilising properties thanks to the ceramic impregnated with silver ions. These silver ions are toxic to bacteria and prevent the formation of mould and algae on the surface of the filter, thus maintaining the cleanliness of the filter surface. (The silver used in the ceramic is in particulate form, i.e. much larger than the nano range. As the silver particles are incorporated into the ceramic before firing, they remain firmly in place in the finished product. The silver does not leach into the filtered water, which has been proven by leachate tests as part of the NSF certification). In the 2nd stage, the water flows through the millions of pores in the ceramic filter housing. These pores are 0.5 - 0.8 micron in size and trap impurities as the water flows through them. The inside of the ceramic is an intricate labyrinth with sharp angles that serves to capture any particles that have penetrated the outer surface. This filtration system mimics part of the earth's natural water purification process. Just as water seeps through layers of rock on its way to the depths, the water in the Super Sterasyl passes through natural media to rid itself of impurities. The 3rd stage with its activated carbon core made from coconut shells serves to increase the adsorption capacity of the filter. What can the Super Sterasyl filter out? Chlorine is used in municipal water treatment and leaves a bitter and chemical taste and an unpleasant odour. The activated carbon reduces chloramines by 99 %. Particles such as dirt, deposits and rust are effectively filtered out by the porous surface of the ceramic filter. Volatile organic compounds include a wide range of chemical contaminants that enter the water via agricultural wastewater, paints and pesticides. The content of so-called VOCs is significantly reduced by the activated carbon. Turbidity is caused by suspended solids. These colour your tap water unappetising shades of yellow and brown. The Super Sterasyl removes 98 % of the turbidity and makes the water crystal clear again. Only a few bacteria are smaller than one micron. As they cannot penetrate the pores, the pathogenic bacteria are filtered out while the water seeps through the ceramic filter. The Super Sterasyl removes bacteria such as Cholera, Shigella or Escherichia coli from the water. The filter should be replaced every 6 months. If it has become discoloured due to the retained impurities, the water will only be filtered slowly. If necessary, clean it with a clean kitchen sponge and light scrubbing movements.
